  • Are your products Kosher? Cuisine Innovations offers our Cohen’s brand of kosher hors d’ oeuvres and specialty products that are all OU kosher certified and Glatt kosher when pertaining to our kosher meat items. The Cuisine Innovations and Delicior branded products are non-kosher. Please contact us for further details.

  • Does Cuisine Innovations have “field” sales support and if so, how do I contact the nearest Cuisine Innovations representative?   • How many pieces come in a tray or mastercase? The majority of our Foodservice products come packed in either 25 pieces to the tray, 4 trays per case, with 100 pieces to the case or 10 pieces to a tray, 10 trays per case. Additional products, offered under our retail and Club Packs, vary from case pack so for additional information, please link to our product database for specific product information.

  • Tell me about the Cuisine Innovation product cooking times and what type of oven or equipment is required? The core mix of Cuisine Innovations items are bake and serve and can be successfully baked and served within twelve to fifteen minutes. Cooking times of products vary by product and all of our products are ovenable which can be baked in either a convection or conventional oven at approximately 350. Individual labels are provided on our product packaging stating the timing and temperature for preparing each product. We also offer numerous frozen products which require no heating and simply need to be thawed and served. Our entire line of products are easy to prepare, and will make event planning or entertaining venue a successful experience.   • Can I cook your hors d’ oeuvres on the trays provided? Our products are packed in durable plastic inner trays and require that you remove the items from the plastic trays and place on a lined baking pan ½ inch apart prior to placing in the oven. Please see individual labels for preferred preparation instructions.
  • Can the products hold up in a chafing dish? Because a majority of our products are not “par baked” our “pre cooked” they will successfully endure holding in a chafer or hot tray for a period of time.   • Do the Cuisine Innovations products need to be defrosted or slacked prior to baking? The majority of our products do not require to be defrosted or "slacked off" prior to baking and can be cooked from a frozen state. Please see individual labels for appropriate preparation instructions.
  • How many hors d’ oeuvres shall I prepare to serve per person at a function or event? Determine whether hors d’oeuvres will be served with cocktails only or followed by dinner in determining the number of pieces to serve:
    - Hors d’oeuvres and Cocktails: 7-10 pieces person
    - Before Dinner (Ala Carte): 3-5 pieces per person
  • How many varieties of products are suggested to serve at an event or function? Whatever the occasion, a variety of at least five different types of hors d’oeuvres ranging in shapes, textures, flavors, and ingredients should be represented
  • What suggestions or product profiles are recommended for functions or events that take place at different times throughout the day? Many hors d’oeuvres are perfectly suited to brunch menus as well as cocktail parties. However, some are more appropriate for certain times than others. Examples are:
    - Brunch: Quiches, Spinach & Potato Puffs, Cheese Puffs, Cheese Straws, Spanikopita
    - Cocktail Hour: Cocktail Franks, Stuffed Mushroom Caps, Wild Mushroom Pouch, Brie w/ Raspberry, Artichoke w/ Boursin, Crab Rangoon, Chicken & Cheese Quesadilla, Empanada’s, Potstickers
    - Before Dinner: Beef Kabobs, Mini Stuffed Cabbage, Scallops Wrapped in Bacon, Chicken Satay, Beef Wellington
  • Can you recommend some “best serving strategies” to ensure a successful party? Determine the type of function and any factors affecting the type of hors d’oeuvres to serve; know your audience, their dietary needs and product preferences. Reviewing and asking the following considerations prior to the event will assist in a successful event:
    - Are there any Food Restrictions that must be considered for my guests?
    - What is the function Time of Day?
    - What is the party age and gender group?
    - Are there any additional Menu Selections/Offerings that my guests require?
